Relocation Intelligence Editorial Process · Editorial Process
PlainRelocate is an independent data-journalism portal that provides relocation intelligence on metropolitan areas. Scores and figures are generated programmatically from federal public data, Bureau of Economic Analysis (cost of living), Bureau of Labor Statistics (wages), HUD (rents), FBI UCR (crime), NCES (schools), Department of Labor (childcare), EPA (air quality), NOAA (climate), and FEMA (natural hazards), with U.S. Census Bureau metro definitions, to inform moving decisions. The team maintains independence by not accepting payment from entities it covers.
